"Something Greater" is a solo for trombone and piano that reflects my compositional journey throughout undergrad. It starts by developing an idea, tries new things, settles into a mood, only to realize its not what I want. It breaks down, and builds back up to a climactic ending.

"Mourning" is a trombone quartet that emulates the feeling of going through the mourning process. It is based on my personal experiences, which does not line up with the common "Five Stages of Grief". It is confused, then sad, angry, both, then finally accepts without necessarily feeling "better".

Length: ~4 minutes

Range: First part goes up to upper tenor clef range, not going above Bb4. Middle parts are below that in bass clef range. Bass has a couple pedal Bb's and pedal A's, ends with a pedal Db.
